Meko has a team of senior and experienced consultants:

 Bob Raikes - Meko's Principal

"one of the industry's most influential specialists" BBC

Bob Raikes is an experienced sales and marketing specialist in distribution and in the PC displays business in particular. Pursuing a keen interest in micro-computers, he joined the PC industry in 1982 at Data Efficiency. Following a spell to establish the distribution company DDL, he helped to set-up Taxan UK as the UK Sales Manager. From there he spent seven years with Japanese monitor and graphic board maker Eizo, initially as Sales Director and later as Managing Director of the company's UK subsidiary. He established Meko Ltd in 1994.

As well as being Managing Editor of Display Monitor, Bob was for several years the Displays Editor for The Peddie Report and a regular contributor to Computer Shopper and other titles.

Bob long ago decided that if Moore can have a law, he can have one too.

Bob's First Law, first developed in the mid-1980s, states: "Everyone that buys a computer, always buys another".

Bob's Second Law states: "Anything that increases the visual bandwidth wins in the end". This observation dates from slightly later, after years of hearing the questions: "Who needs graphics?", "Who needs colour?", "Why does anyone need more than 256 colours/a 15" screen/VGA resolution?". The law predicts that there will be a continuous development of electronic displays until they match the capabilities of human visual perception. This means that high dot density/improved colour and 3D displays will inevitably be developed.

Pete Gamby - Research Director and Editor of Display Monitor

After studying Computer Science at Hatfield Polytechnic, Pete joined Mitsubishi Electric as a PC support engineer and progressed, during his time with the company, to the position of marketing manager for the company's Display Products Division. He was responsible for implementing communication and pricing strategies that established Diamondtron as the preferred screen technology for monitors within the UK Mac user community.

Moving to Nokia's Display Products Division as marketing manager, Pete was instrumental in growing the company's UK business by 200% within a year, helping to secure contracts with major corporate clients. Following the acquisition of Nokia's monitor business by Viewsonic, Pete moved on to work as UK Product Marketing Manager for German PC and monitor vendor, Maxdata. By becoming part of the company's international marketing team, he was able to implement strategies that enabled the company to grow its sales of LCD and other high-end monitors.

Pete joined Meko in 2000 and was appointed as a director in 2001.

Göksen Sertler - Research Analyst, Advanced TV

Brought up and educated in Turkey, Göksen completed an executive MBA while a production engineer at Beko, where she was responsible for the project management of new products.

Since moving to the UK, she has worked for Access Devices, working on several projects involving liaison work with several TV companies.

She joined Meko at the beginning of 2007.

Sue Kempton - Research Data Manager

Sue joined Meko in January 2000.

She heads the data collection section and is responsible for the quality of the data. She is also responsible for the first stage of analysis and the preparation of report graphics.

Sue started in retail management but then moved on to quality control and reporting. She has also worked on databases and was involved in marketing immediately prior to joining Meko.

She is based in the UK office and speaks French and German.

 Linda Norman - Sales Supervisor

Linda came to Meko in April 2003 to look after Display Monitor subscriptions and has since taken on responsibility for the sales support of all Meko services. She is responsible for ensuring that all order commitments are fulfilled and provides after sales service to our clients.

Linda plays a large part in the organisation of the DisplayForum conferences and other client events.

She has an HND in Business Studies (International Marketing and French) and has previously worked as a purchasing officer and a facilities manager.
